[GUIDE] Orochimaru Guide 146558-194078-orochimaru

Orochimaru in anime:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orochimaru_(Naruto)

Movelist and tips on using each of them.
Shunshin no jutsu - Run, Defend. - A useful thing, provides an opportunity to evade almost all of the attacks in the game.
[GUIDE] Orochimaru Guide Ddudnd10

Shadow Walk - Press Defend when receiving hit. - Very useful thing, provides an opportunity to evade alot of techniques, if pressed in time. for example, deidara's clay jutsus (D>A, DVJ). [GUIDE] Orochimaru Guide Ddudnd11

Regeneration - Defend, Up, Jump (usable when lying on ground) - A good jutsu to heal, but may be dangerous against some characters, such as Itachi that can catch you with Mangekyou Sharingan when you are raising from the ground. [GUIDE] Orochimaru Guide Ddud_d10

Snake Authority Spell - Defend, Forward, Jump - extremely powerful technique. succeeds almost always, but it may fail some times. the capturing system is stupid. kinda difficult to understand. I use it to finish off an opponent. [GUIDE] Orochimaru Guide 310

Striking Shadow Snakes - Attack, Jump - Not the most useful jutsu, though it's good against a char like Hiruko that doesn't have a replacement technique. [GUIDE] Orochimaru Guide 210

Summoning: Twin Snakes - Defend, Down, Attack - The most powerful jutsu for me. I advice you to use it as often as possible to attack. Also very good for defense, may keep the opponent ina distance. [GUIDE] Orochimaru Guide 212

Summoning: Triple Rashomon - Defend, Down, Jump - High chakra cost. but it can protect you from long ranged attacks, such as temari's whirlwinds (D>J), etc. [GUIDE] Orochimaru Guide 213

Summoning: Manda - Defend, Up, Jump - Very useful technique, but it can also be unstable. Sometimes manda hits you as well. use manda only when needed. [GUIDE] Orochimaru Guide 214

Sliding Snake - Attack, Defend or running Attack, Jump - Very active skill, with this skil orochimaru can surpass sasuke's speed. I advice to use this jutsu as much as possible, it may surprise the opponent and also it costs a low amount of chakra. [GUIDE] Orochimaru Guide 215

Grass Long Sword - Defend, Forward, Attack - For me, this attack is not very useful, as it's moving straight forward in one line and that's a long casting jutsu. I advice you to use it against deidara's birds.
[GUIDE] Orochimaru Guide 710

Anti/Meat chars:
Anti-chars:
1) Itachi - the clones prevent a smooth snake catch, and also prevents regeneration. itachi can also easily catch a regenerating orochimaru with Mangekyou Sharingan, Eye rip, etc.
2) Hidan - Almost all of his jutsus overpower orochimaru's jutsus.

Meat-chars:
1) Kakuzu - Long shunshin gives orochimaru an escape from his run attack. Twin snakes keep kakuzu in a distance from orochimaru. When kakuzu hits you, you can use regeneration to get up from ground quickly, and kakuzu won't be able to take orochimaru's heart.
2) Deidara - Detonate all of deidara's bird jutsus. But against LJ it wont be useful.

Character's pros and cons:
Pros:
1) Heal ability.
2) Long shunshin.
3) Possible to move quickly.
4) Massive jump attack.
5) 2 unique replacements.
6) There's a summoning jutsu.

Cons:
1) It's a complicated character.
2) Low amount of active jutsus.
3) Slow with recovering chakra.
4) Many delaying jutsus.
5) There's a technique that costs the whole chakra.
6) Techniques can be unstable
7) Orochimaru is vulnerable while regenerating.
8) Almost all of his attacks must be done in the same line as the opponent.

Orochimaru gameplay tactics:
I don't have special suggestions, there are many kinds of tactics for him, but I advice you to use more AD or Run + AJ. often usage of run jump A, that's very useful. Less usage of snake catch in the beginning of the fight, because in the middle or in the endgame the snake catch will be way more essential. More usage of twin snakes in both attack and defense. this attack is universal, orochimaru's main jutsu.
In games of 2x2 i advice to summon the gates and use the sword, but also use the Sliding Snake as often as possible.

I must admit that it was quite helpful for me, though I have been playing NTSD for a while.

And - hey! - there is even LJ's name!

[GUIDE] Orochimaru Guide Empty Re: [GUIDE] Orochimaru Guide

Post by Elmo86 December 10th 2012, 12:55 pm

I will be very helpful this guide to improve my style of fight with Orochimaru. Very interesting and complete guide, certainly I would add that with the technique of "Summoning: Triple Rashomon" can also be used as a distraction or surprise attack, for example, when the enemy is at the position where the technique is invoked, the opponent goes flying (like when Sakura hits you, but not with that force) and can help load some Chakra or kept at a distance the enemy.

I would probably ask for a Yamato guide from Snow than Elmo... just my opinion.

I think that Snow is best with Yamato, that I. But the style of Snow is faster and front (combos used). I like to use all the techniques of a character and create my own style based on that. For example, defense and counter-attack is based my style with Yamato, which do not have long range techniques.

But after a month of no new posts such useful topics will become you know old thread that can't be revived without a warn .

At least make another topic where you'll quote and keep all the guides in one place . Its just my opinion .
