NTSD 2.4 tons of errors??

Hello everyone, as you may see I'm new around here but, I have ntsd 2.4 but whenever I try to launch it I get errors such as, 

"Could not Open Wave File 'wave file name here'" and then after those errors I get more wave file data errors such as "Could Not Open Wave File 'data\001.wav'

PS: I use Windows 8, if anyone has a fix for this please tell me I really want to play  Ntsd II works for me but I've seen videos of ntsd 2.4 so I wanna try this version instead D:

First: install the "Microsoft Visual C + + 2010 Redistributable Package" from here:  http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555
