i thought it was common knowledge, like how google and facebook and microsoft and nearly every IT company steals and sells your data, but here is their privacy policy:

doesnt explicitly mention selling your data of course, just like how Windows10's privacy policy doenst explicitly mention it,just that they have access to your local files through the operating system.

also, its a free, non-open source globally used and continuously developed service, which basically guarantees that they make money from selling user data. just like it is said, "data is the 21th century's gold", not too ridiculous of a thought when "smart""phones" were designed to track people's GPS location, listen to everything it hears, get your fingerprints, analyze and recognize your face, and send it all to google or apple.

its also pretty suspicious how discord became so popular so quickly, when i never heard of it before years ago. i would prefer this forum in every way, but im not the one to decide
