Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 4

"Just got the game when I got my PS2 for my birthday. I was really disappointed when I got the PS2 instead of the iPod Touch, but hey, it beats t-shirts."




SHORT REVIEW:
This game is really good compared to the older versions, since has more and different gameplay. I would describe it as a mixture of Final Fantasy and Tekken together. The only complaint I have about the creation of the game is that the American people should've waited for more of the story to have been shown to them, since the length of the main scenario in this game was EXTREMELY short.

Rating: 6/10
Fun to play, but gameplay feels a tad bit limited to me and as I said, the main scenario was too short.

POSITIVES = I didn't expect a game that's based before Narutimate Accel 2 to be better than it.

-It actually has better gameplay than the next one, such as more melee combos and first to final jams for the master battles. Also, you can use items in the master battles this time.

-Finishing some requests from other main characters actually lets you unlock other character's moves and use it for ANY character in free battle; like Itachi using Sakura's Heruclean Earth Smash or something.

-The 100 man battle this time also includes Jiraiya as the final opponent.

-Instead of just finding the dummies that pose as some of the other characters needed to be unlocked, you actually have two new options: Instead of dummies, you get the "No-face Gangsters" that disguise themselves as other characters. Also, you don't just use Naruto to fight them, but some of your other comrades. BUT, you do not unlock them that way. Instead, you go to Hero Mode, where you relive the First Naruto Arc when he was 12 years old. During some scenarios or after battles, you unlock those characters. Those unlockable characters range from Young Uzumaki Naruto, to the First Hokage, to Kimimaro.

-The game lets you start off at the actual training of Naruto with Jiraiya, with an event based on the Tree Felling Village Scenario.

-Modes such as Shop are here, which are very helpful and convenient.

NEGATIVES =

-All the scenarios joined together only range from Naruto's training (filler scenario) up to defeating Itachi on the way to the Akatsuki Cave.

umm, get a everything unlocked save data. and then replace it with your save data at your memory card. whazzap! you got everything unlocked

I still prefer the Accel 2 ._.
This looks like Accel 1 with English subs.

The game is awesome....but everytime i get finish with every ultmate ninja game for good i just give it away...but ultimate 4 is the best that came out for Ps2. ^_^

Accel 3 is for the PSP, but on an even more surprising note, they are finally going to introduce other battle modes other than just 1 vs. 1.

It's coming out around the time that Accel 2 is planned to be released in the states. So it will still be a while before we see it but the good news is it won't be that long. As instead of being released based on the anime, English Naruto games now follow the Shounen Jump manga releases.

On a side note, don't expect too much from Accel 2. It has it's bad points. For instance, the helper system is completely annoying. Also the face that Accel 1 is considerably harder than Accel 2. So if you guys cant handle insane then you will enjoy Accel 2, if insane is easy for you like it is me, then you won't be challenged in the next version at all.

I don't agree with ya,Death.Aside from the difficulty(which is EXTREMELY easy,even a noob can beat 4tk on Very Hard),it's better than Accel 1.There are more chars,much better itens and the old chars are balanced.Remember how Shika was so f*cking cheap on Accel 1?And the helper system was a great addition.Dislike/Ban it from championships is just wrong.IMHO,it helps to balance the game more,except for Orochi + Kabuto.They're the cheapest thing in the new game.

And if you think the game is too easy,try to beat Gai's fights on RPG mode.When you beat it,you unlock the Narutimate difficulty.

I never said the whole game was bad.. I said that there are bad points also.. And I already have Narutimate is too easy. If you've ever played competitively against really good players you would know what I mean.

I finished this game on the ps2 emulator took around 11 or 13h don't remember but i finished it 100% got every char

I had this game...Is really cool,now i understand the history of the little girl in main scenario and how the game is walking...But the accel 2 is best...
I ve unlocked all things,its easy ^^ This game made chars more fast,less ´´squared´´...And thats good...The jokenpo(i think is this how we spell) is very cool...Is pure luck...I dont like the begin of main scenario...We stay hours running with naruto in the cave...

btw i bought the game when it came out *_*
but after 3 days (with eating and sleeping), i completed the game, in the holidays of course^^
however it's still very funny 10/10!!

i'm looking forward for accel 3 *_*^^
