vBulletin NTSD forums suggestion

Anyone here dirty rich enough to pay for one?
Cos, I actually agree with Neji Uchiha from before; the site is a bit un-organized. Not in the sections sort of way, but like, with ranks, groups, rep, avatar sizes, etc etc.
If someone here would be willing to pay for a vBulletin forum, I'd gladly help them with organizing it and we could maybe relocate there.

Wasn't this suggestion handled with already? Besides, that's too much stuff to move over to a new site. vBulletin is better in some ways, it's a bit more time-consuming getting it organized. I like the idea, but I doubt anyone here would want to pay for the site.

If there IS a guy willing, then yeah. (Maybe Kyo, using up all his money for his SOS collection >.<) Plus if it's too time consuming, just have some guys like meh do it while you guys are still on this site.

I like the idea, but I only remember seeing one person who posted her or in another section saying he would pay the admins to move everything from here to a vBulletin site. Although it works much better, I doubt anyone here would be willing to continue to pay to keep a site open.

Seriously like, it'll look way more organized than this.
125x125 avys for normal members, 150x150 for seniors, then big ones for admins. Like, not too big. I just forgot the size.
Then there's like proper green rep bars that appear under your username. Also, vBulletin skins are render/trans friendly.
Main section also show their sub-sections, including the name of the latest topics at the index page itself. Also, there's better visitor messages since now it tells you that there is some, and so on.

Well, for an owned license for vBulletin is $180 each for 2 licenses and you get one year of free updates. After that first year, the fee is $60 any new updates you want to get(or $40 if you purchase it within 60 days of the license expiring).
If you want to get a leased license, it's $100 each for licenses and you can use it for one year and lets you gain access to products within that year. After that one year is done, you have to renew your license or remove your site if you can't afford to pay for it again.
I would rather stick to a free site, even though vBulletin has better protection.

As much as this appeals to me, it sounds like it just burns money. >.>
A more interesting question, how many active members do we have?
We have a fair few (I think), and if we can convince enough people to pay
~$1.00-$2.00, then easy peasy.
We could hold a torney (of ntsd/art/bums/whatever) annually, have an
entry fee of 10 cents or something, and the winner gets something special
on the site/some money back, and this'd pay for the $40 updates.
For the intial dollar though, we'd need to make the new thing sound like
heaven\'s cupcakes.
And this is all theory, I havn't done the numbers ^^;
ps. Also, the $180 one would save the most over time

And your point is what Otaku? You won't be giving them actual dollars should someone buy a license you know. You have 3 ways to pay for this. PayPal, credit card, of wire transfer. The majority here won't do any of those 3, much less have the cash to do so.
