Hi there,

I just got linked to this site and took a look around until I suddenly found part of my work in the forums' banner. Now, I don't mind it being used, but please, just ask for permission or at least give me some credit in a way.

If you (whoever created the banner) found the image on Google images, then that's fine, it can happen, but still, some credit would be nice.

First of all, thanks for replying .

Secondly, I guess it's partially my fault for not replying to that message. However, if I asked for permission and I didn't get a reply, I still wouldn't have used it.
But, like I said, I probably should have paid more attention to the comments and aliases people are using.

Hmm.. yeah, I guess. I'm sure Yush put a lot of work into the banner too and I now know he did ask for permission, while it was partially my fault for not replying.

So, while I would still like a reaction from Yush, I guess it's ok.

Asking someone to give you credit does sound simple to do, but you need to remember Volture that whenever someone posts art like that on the Net, it's up for grabs by anyone and most people will not credit you for the work you put into it. Next time, try and respond back to him or anyone else in a timely manner just in case something like this ever happens again.

Yes, I'm aware some people do that. However, I also think you should understand that, especially on a forum like this, using someone's work without actually being given permission is not a very nice thing to do.
Like I said, if I asked someone else for permission and I wouldn't get a response, I would just let it go or ask again, not use it anyway. And I also believe Deviantart uses its own copyright policy too, so another reason to not just grab and use it.

But then again, I'm not here to play some ass, but just to get some clarification.

I asked for your permission, took the piece and made the banner. After that I told myself that I'd post it after I got your permission, but I was too excited and on the next day, I totally forgot and put it up anyways >_>

So, should I just repost the banner with credits on the stock used too?
