-20\-30 is a common temperature there.

Being a man from south, Moscow winter is a bit complicated to me.
Talking about St. Petersburg, I think I'll die there.

Nah, I do. A small deviation of a science-focused guy. Because looking at positive temperatures is a tad less depressing.
And well, good for you. In Poland, -20 C during the day is minimum most of the time, usually keeps around -10, -5 during winter.

i remember times when my oven was damaged and it broke... it almost explode, to be honest (the water from hole in pipe broke free and it placed on oven...) after week i had ~3celcious degrees in da house. that was pretty hard times until the new one wasnt bought and monted. brrr! only thinking of it makes me cold.
