Repot button
Let normal users use "lock post for new reports" -button (ofc you can't press it if there isn't a report yet)
liek
1. U make report
2. Send it
3. press "lock post for new reports" button
4. everybadi sees that its already reported
5. ???
6. no more annoying backseat moderating
And give me some points because I had this great idea.

Re: Repot button
When someone reports a post, the function is automatically locked.
Or so I recall.

Re: Repot button
I don't recall ever hearing someone was reported twice, there's a system that is quite organized in that regard, we'd know if it's a report about an existing matter that we dealt with already.

Agreed, and the saddest thing about this fact is that you can't tell them not to do that or else they'll get warned, because if you say this to them, you are breaking the rulez too with trying to act like a mod! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
edited, now are you happy?

Re: Repot button
No, this is simply a rule that has a different actual meaning, if you advise someone to follow the rules it is very much a decent behavior, advising and instructing.. both somewhat okay, ACTING as a mod is to tell someone off for doing something as if you're holding position to disallow/ban/warn and it is up to you, as you're all well aware some violations go with a simple PM to the violator, we don't warn straight away so when someone tells another to change something according to the rules there are ways to go about it, if he simply advises in an informative fashion, it's fine by me, any other case and he will get warned for it.
EDIT: take in mind this is my point of view, I think other moderators would have a different judgement in any case.
