Hi guys. Idk if anybody still looking at this forum but...

I'm here today to say what is going on with the project.
1º. I'm still working on it.
2º. I'm redoing it.
3º. I need spriters.

I don't know what the other guys from team are doing or if they're doing something.
I'm redoing the game for 1 reason. It have bugs that i can't fix. When i start to work in this project the game had some ready chars with moves that i could not remove and could not fix. Redoing the game i can do it all in my way. I'm trying to make the gameplay more like 2.4. Since i'm not working with spriters, i'm using some old sprites (even from 2.4). I wanna see this game ready no matter what. If any spriter wanna help me just send pm to me. I don't need spriter that can make base. I need spriters that can make a full char. If you can't please don't even try to help.
For now the game have 5 chars, but i'm adding new chars every day.

So, this is it. A little video just to show AI battle.





I know somebody will comment on it so:
.This AI is dumb.
.You can't break defense with punch but all chars will have a way (using mp) to break it.
.Substitution jutsu finally work as i want.
.All chars will have a second defense.

This is it. If anybody could move it to progress section it would be great.

Nothing special. Just kawarimi, punch colision and Rasenga/Chidori/Raikiri system. Hope you enjoy.


Next video probabily will be the new clash that will be a lot better and with lvs depending on how much effort you put in it.

New clash system guys



It will have 3 lvs. Weak (will be like normal move), strong and Supreme.
All you need to do is press the correct sequence until you charge the bar. The sequence will change according with the char that start the clash.

I was working on one basic sharingan that will confuse the commands of the char. The effects of this sharingan for now is:

1. Confuse directional keys
2. Allow the target to hit teammates
3. Don't let the target jump normaly
4. Make some special moves work wrong
5. Turn mp bar crazy when you try to recharge
6. Confuse Attack, Defend, and Jump keys (for the future).

This is really annoying try to do anything under effect of the sharingan.

All the users of sharingan will have this power and some of them will have immunity. In the future the chars will have one command to break this effect (maybe).

This is the special defense for kakashi. It was hard to think since Kakashi doesn't use defensive moves. Most of Kakashi's moves are evasive. I was watching Kakashi vs Itachi and he used something like this.

Pretty legit if you ask me. I always preferred the V2.4 System than II's System. Like Samael mentioned, it was buggy.

I might state the pretty obvious here, but there should be MORE contact within the team Samael. That should be a high priortiy as well.

At the end of the manga, Naruto was able to use Rasengan without the use of shadow clones. Though I want to ask you Samael: how far is NTSD II going to go in terms of arcs and storylines?  Are you planning to have a separate '4th Shinobi War Naruto' character?
The problem with the separate versions of many characters, is that there's a limit of how many characters you can add without breaking the LF2 engine, and polar to that, there are many good characters to choose. No need to add minor characters like Darui. He is cool, but lacks movements. Yes, he knows Black Lightning like A raikage. But then they will have similar moves, and the whole thing will look like a copy-and-paste sort of work. That is crap. Only significant characters should be in. That is if you'll stick with the LF2 engine. I wonder if the A-Engine has any limits.

Also, remove, or reduce the impact of a background side wall rebound thing. It is very annoying. It is completely useless or tune it in a way where you won't fly away completely when hit against the wall. Just a few Ppx should be enough. I have not seen anyone in any movie, game, book, video or any sort where a guy flies up in the air when crashed into a wall.

Another thing; don't make the move damages OP! I can finish a normal NTSD fight in seconds. It is not entertaining at all!!! Reduce the damage so that the fight actually lasts longer without me always backing up from the enemies because I don't want it to end so god-damn fast. Yes, in the series, the jutsus are powerful, but this is a game. Are you making a simulation or an entertainment product here? There HAS TO BE compromises. Can't have both. XD

I hope Lightning Blade or Chidori wont have the same mechanic, because that technique can only be used in a straight line. Though I'm sure you knew that already.
I think it's appropriate, if the user can run across the entire screen. But of course, it will drain MP. The jutsu relies on using the users chakra, unlike the Rasengan. It has a definite time. Rasengan has indefinite. Unlimited if you like.

Let me just state some comparison of LF2 Engine and the A-Engine :

Loading :
LF2 - Loads the full game data at the beginning/startup.
A - Loads the NECESSARY data JUST before a battle/stage/tournament begins.

Sprites :
LF2 - Allows BMP (size of a sheet normally ~1Mb), Black-> Transparent. That's it.
A - Allows BMP, JPG, PNG (with transparency), Define which color should be transparent FOR each sheet loaded if you want to. You can adjust:
- Size, Transparency, Color overlay, Transformation (rotation) etc etc inside the codes.

Limitation of Data :
LF2 - 400 frames in total. Nearly 200 preoccupied. Each ID object has un-changeable features (shadows, etc), 500 HP, 500 MP for all characters.
A - Define how much frames you need (even 1000 works), no other limitation of any sort. Define how much HP/SP/RP your character needs.


Also tonnes of in-coding provided tags, keywords, flags etc that make coding THAT much easier.
Why im stressing on ditching LF2 because its waste and too much limits.

My recommendation : Think out of the box and discuss with everyone how a limitless game where everything is possible should be. Decide how you'll want your game to work, systems etc everything! A-engine WOULD be out within some days! Smile

Hmm the JPG. and BMP. files sort of defeat the transparent purpose don't you think? XD

Dude, PNG. is allowed on LF2. Yes, with LF2 Patcher. But it still works nonetheless.

The tones for coding can be done with a 3rd party Data Changer. Jiquera Data Changer isn't the only data changer out there.

In LF2, the 400 frame limit has been overcome.

If you're talking about a stock LF2; then yes, it is limited. But time has passed and things have changed.

Though, I can't wait for that A-Engine. :3

Do you realize the ridiculous amounts of bugs in those "loosely-hexed-lf2-exes" have?
I have tried them.
Ntsd II has patched too.. And we all know the bugs it has.
There is no lf2 patch without any severe limitation that makes it useless for modding purposes.
400 limit hasn't been overcome (except in a few BUGGED patches)

Times and things have changed for lf2, nothing stable yet though.

That is strange. I NEVER had a problem with any of them. x.x
The only trouble I had with was the 1000 object Exe.
Any errors that came up was because of me and solely because of me.

NTSD II is a minefield of bugs. But that's due to other reasons as well, not just because of the hex edits.

Of course I never said things were perfect. Laughing

I think, either way, NTSD II should be a good way to send LF2 off and make way for the A.

Unless the Wongs' actually do decide to comeback and give LF2 a f$][ing revamp. ;0

A-Engine was developed because of LF2's limitation. Otherwise it wouldn't exist.
Wongs wont ever be back lol, they could barely start with Hero Fighter, its not working anymore because they're broke.

OPAE alpha is on the way, would be enough for people to acknowledge the new engine.
Infact the whole point of Revamping NTSD and starting again from scratch lf2 is because making it more 'functional' (for II) inturn made it buggier. We don't want to repeat the same mistake. At all.

Its time to think about WHAT kind of game to make..withiut even thinking a BIT about lf2.

In short: It is a game Engine that is being developed. It's an Engine that is very similar with Little Fighter 2's Engine, but with the exceptions of it"s limits.
LF2 coders will be very familiar with the A coding.

Think of it as a spiritual successor to Little Fighter 2.
