Problem with GTA IV (for pc)

Well my game runs considerably slow Or you can say that It lags in in Single Player Mode!
And I don't recieve any achievements in the game.
So any suggestions to my problems?

I think you do not have enough ram for running the game and achievements you need to signed in for games for windows live.

thats right your computer requirements are not up to the mark to play GTA 4 i.e the game lags.you can download the game booster i also had a game which lagged when i played then i installed the game booster and it started running smoothly.

Crummy graphic's card? Or you probably set your settings high.

Just upgrade your PC.

I have a 2 GB Ram and Nvdia 8400 GS Super Graphic Card
on Dual Core two, isn't this good enough to run the game smoothly?

graphic shall be better
i think minimum for this game is nVidia 9200(more or less)

I think its 7900 , how about the processor ? How powerful it is?

i have better PC than yours but it still lags sometimes....
and i cant set my textures up to max only normal...no matter what i do (well maybe its just my version of game)

Meh.... its because GTA 4 is full of bugs and a pretty shitty optimization.

I downloaded the new patch and Lags were less this time....

its a waste of time buying gta 4 for pc now. cuz the gta: episodes of librety city( includes lost and damned and ballad of gay tony) is coming out for pc this xmas -.-

it is out for xbox 360 1 month ago? and there was a interview that the pc and ps3 version will be out around xmas or january 2010 cuz on march 2010, the next gta game( could be gta 5) will be released

but there wasnt much publicity about this version of gta
