Final Fantasy Series

This is a thread for the whole Final Fantasy Series
To keep track easier
Nowz.
So far
FFXII went great
FFXIII FAILED
And FFXIV has its trailer
Can't wait
Any comments on any of the games at all?
I've only got XII, and it's been great so far. Almost clocked the whole thing in one week [40 hrs]
Twas fun
XIII got rly bad reviews, so....it had massive sales due to it's awesome graphics in its trailers, but....yeeeh, bad gameplay. Too much movies [scenes] they said, too linear, not enough gameplay.
XIV looks quite great in terms of graphics now, can't wait for the gameplay.

i loved final fantasy XII and i havent played all the parts well i have just played XII and III

XII is fail compared to past games.
Both X and X2 kick it's *ss is gameplay.
I've played XII and it was a waste of my time, I had more fun replaying VII and VIII from Playstation Store.
VII is obviously the best, it was most revolutionary and the story inspired future games, and a movie. Cloud and Sephiroth are characters that will be etched into gamers brains forever.
VIII was not far behind, being so long on Playstation Vanilla it was 4 disks long. The story line was a mind f*ck and the characters had extreme depth. Game-play was a bit more complicated than VII but that is a good thing also.
X and X2 were very fun, being the only game to have a solid sequel, this shows the success X had. X2 was also very fun with new grid systems and the same characters (along with new ones) that are all enjoyable.
XII on the other hand is a long, drawn out game with a mediocre game play system and a storyline is not that far off. While playing this game all me and many other peers could think "I could have finished another FF by now." In my case that was VII.
Do not have a opinion on XIII but since you say it has bad reviews, I'll just rent it and see how it is, just to have an idea.

For example take fallout, the game was so non linear the main story felt like a side quest. Probably had massive sales because it's such a well established franchise.

Don't ask me, I only took off words from a couple of reviews, and they were the general reasons.
Now that I've viewed a couple of gameplay vids for XIII, I can easily say that man, they look rly shiny. That's probably cos of the background. The movements are extra weird too. By scenes, they probably meant the ones you get throughout the game that have you to press X for over and over again.
NOW, seriously, XIV looks like it'll pwn >.<

After replaying FFVIII, FFIII and FFXII-2, I says FFIII and FFVIII pwns all (other than DFF) to me. BUT THAT MIGHT BE ONLY FOR ME.

Yeah, Laguna rocks.
Squall is also great, but he would do better in BADDDD SIDE.
