Silence. Does it exist?

It is technically impossible for there to be total silence until total decomposition.

Your heart beating creates minuscule sounds, about 0.1 decibels. Seeing as humans can only hear about 20, and dogs can only hear about 1, these sounds are unhearable. Even if you are in a heart attack in space without a spacesuit, there will still be sounds. The sound of your blood moving due to slight gravitational forces will reverberate around your body, and sound will exist.

Even dead people make noises. When bacteria decompose bodies, they make a sound. Even if the body is fully eaten, then the remains will still make noises in maggots digestive system. These will fuel plant growth, which makes a sound.

So even when you are broken down into component molecules, you still make a sound. And what do you think about it?

Sigh....In Vacuum there is no sound. In environment without air there is no sound. Silence exists.

sound = oscillation of pressure transmitted through solid liquid or gas.
so you can still hear the resonation of the ground or water if there is no air
(only if your ears are near or in ground / water becouse if there is no air, there is nothing to transmit them to your ears)
but your body can transmit resonation too, so technically if someone hit you in the space you can hear it.

if you are deaf you cant hear anything so it exists.

but if you are talking about making sound not perceive sound i think it not exists.

Silence is the subjective state of having the impression of not hearing anything... so AFAIK it does exist

Still there is such a state with absolute absence of sound - vacuum, as i said before.
