Updates Of Different Sports

Well this section of the forum 'Sport & Health' hasn't been talked about for a while so I thought I would get it up and running again. Seeing as a lot of people like there sport, I thought I would update you on the latest sports going on now and later on in 2012.

Now I have no idea what kind of sports the members of the forum like so I will post information about the ones I know of:

First up is Cricket

Australia complete innings win

-Australia won the second Test at Sydney by an innings and 68 runs with last man Ashwin falling for 62, and India all out for 400.

- Starc replaces Pattinson for the third Test
- Clarke warns pace threat for India
- Dhoni blames 1st session collapse for the loss
- Kohli fined 50 percent of his match fees

CSK and MI to clash in IPL-5 opener

- The fifth edition of the IPL will begin from April 4th in Chennai, with Chennai taking on Mumbai in the opener. Dinesh Karthik moves to Mumbai Indians

Sachin not distracted by 100th ton hype

- "I just want to enjoy cricket and I think that is important. The focus is on enjoying cricket and winning" - Tendulkar.

Sri Lanka name Malinga in ODI squad

- Sri Lanka on Tuesday named paceman Lasith Malinga and opening batsman Upul Tharanga in a 15-man squad for the one-day series in South Africa.

Watson hopeful of being fit for 3rd Test

- Shane Watson has not given up hopes of playing some part in the Test series against India and is aiming to be fit for the third match in Perth, starting on January 13.

South Africa are to take on Sri Lanka

- The South Africa squad to take on Sri Lanka in the ODIs was announced. AB De Villers was named as captain and will keep the wickets as well. (UPDATE) SA needed just 1 ball to wipe out the target as they sealed their first home series win since 2008. Kallis was the star of the show contributing with bat, ball and on the field.

Second is the Super Bowl XLVI (46)

- 29 days to go intel the kick off of the Super Bowl XLVI (46). Exact date is Febuary 5 2012, they are still selling tickets if you want to go see the big game. Now we have no idea who is going to the Super Bowl in indianapolis.

- The Baltimore Ravens are definitely Super Bowl contenders and happen to be the only team that has moved in the betting market since earlier in the week.

- Cantor Gaming in Las Vegas sent out the Ravens at betting odds of 6/1 to capture the Lombardi Trophy on Monday, but that number has fallen a bit for the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoffs.

But lets take a closer look at who has a chance of going to the Super Bowl:

- The Denver Broncos are currently nine-point home underdogs against the Pittsburgh Steelers in their AFC wild-card round matchup on Sunday. Quarterback Tim Tebow's season is likely to exit stage right.

- The Broncos are 0-3-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last four January contests, while the Steelers are a dominating 10-1 ATS in the same situation.

- The Cincinnati Bengals were 0-7 against playoff games this season, which shows that they have absolutely no chance of lifting the Lombardi Trophy.

- Don't fall asleep on this team down the road, especially with the draft picks that it accumulated in trading former quarterback Carson Palmer.

- The New York Giants survived the carnage of the NFC East division, sweeping the Dallas Cowboys in the process.

- Quarterback Eli Manning gives them a legitimate shot, but I believe the story ends this Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.

- The Pittsburgh Steelers are attracting plenty of moneyline action in Las Vegas, as no one anticipates last year's AFC champion to fall in the Mile High City.

- This is all the info I have about the Super Bowl teams having a chance to go to Indianapolis.

Hello mister He has 99 centuries in both the formats and its by far above any batsman in the world.
His statistics are way ABOVE legends like Bradman ...

The Kohli incident was ROFLMAO though.xD

There will never be anyone as good as Bradman. Every match he had he scored 100, his rate is 99.9%. But right now Tendulkur is the best batsman there is.

im starting to hate tendulker, friking getting out at 94 and 80 in australia, he is getting old, he should retire

Maybe, in my opinion he has ways to go before he retires. Same with Ricky, I remember Clarkey from Australia hit 320/330 something like that. Thats pretty huge.

Well I know he has to retire but
I just love watching him play. He is the god of cricket of our era.
Moreover India winning the 2011 Worldcup would have been impossible without this Little Master.
But yea sooner or later he has to retire.

For us Australians, we hope its sooner then later haha xD
Anyway what types of bowlers do you peoples like? Me I like Patterson from Australia because he began his courier like a pro and is improving everyday.
He Reminds me of Denise Lillie and Brett Lee... accurate and fast, takes plenty of wickets as well.

I have mentioned NFL & NBL. I also said if there are any others you want to know about, let me know. If you want me to post more updates of different sports then I will, eg NHL, Netball, Ping Pong and others.

South Africa have the better team. Sri Lanka have considered putting new players into their side. As far as I know they have, that is the reason they are not up to scratch. But yeah wish I could have seen that match. Been busy with 20/20 and NFL. Superbowl coming up... remember February 5 is the kick off.
