Absolutely different . It's speed , style , sprites , the pace at which battles take place n' that Stage Mode.
Though some basic features r still the same.

It's still LF2. Even it's more fun than the original though.

it is lf2 still to me , becuase there base of the game (data , how it works, how the character selection is set , the start up screen etc.. ) is still the same

I think some points sre the same .But ntsd style is better.

the difference to most mods i think it that the attacks and effects have been balanced pretty well , sprites in NTSD are way better than lf2 style

you can never completely change Ntsd or Ntsd 2,thats a horrible fact,it's not 100% original and some of our sprites are'nt original either.

But that's not a -ve point, if u think . The fact that it's the greatest LF Mod ever made is itself quite overwhelming.

i think it is a diffrent game
when i want play lf2 i ask him for lf2 and for NTSD i ask ntsd so for me it is very different and NTSD is much better!!^^

hmm a people if played first NTSD and saw lf2, think lf2 is a copy of NTSD.
A people if played lf2 and play NTSD, think NTSD(that people is correct) is a copy of LF2!

i totaly agree no matter how much u change it, its still the same.

yeah the basics are the same,
like controls and the menu and so on

but the chars and the way you can play them is completely different

if you play only the orginal and then ntsd you think it is the same game but if you play first ntsd and then lf2 lf2 sucks

it's much different, the gameplay is different, the stage, Sprites, cuz in LF2 you can't charge your mana so the battle is more melee, on ntsd you can charge your chakra so the game isn't much melee!

It has most certainly become a game in its own right. Gameplay is more diverse, dedicated fanbase, and a brilliant design team. What more could something need to make it more than "just a mod"?

Although the framework is still LF2 some of the aspects which were removed and others which were added truly seperate NTSD and LF2 as copmletely different games (I've seen some of the character data from ages ago and even then the approach to the character design differed greatly from that of the original LF2).

...As programmer I'll admit it is the same in um theory (horrible word choice but too lazy to think of a better word) but as a programmer I also have to say that the approach to this mod defines it. It is more focused on the player than the engine and it shows.
