i don't get what you do to play online, can anyone explain it to me?

You need a program called hamachi to play NTSD online. Just google for it and look up the servers in the hamachi section or create your own one and post it there.

Yeah, using hamachi is easy
1. 1st download the hamachi
2. Press join or create network button
3. ask your friends to connect to your network by tellling its name and password
4. if you and your friend are in the same network, start LF2/NTSD and go network play
then use your friends hamachi IP to "connect to opponent" while your friend presses "waiting for opponent"
