I think it's worthwhile waiting to see what the team members think of this, if one of them will step in and fill Smouk's position then there's no problem, I think it's too early to tell the future.

I've started studying spriting a week ago, just to say that once I'm done with it.
Because I knew that until I'll be good at it, Smouk will probably leave the project, and a new leader will need to come. I've started studying to be that one.

I think atm papertobi is the most active root member.
He can be a good option.
The interns should now be promoted as its time for team to get serious.
But one fact cant be ignored this stuff will delay the progress.However if Nave somehow gets back miracles may happen he is too skilled in this stuff and can finish ntsd II with a good quality.

Not just saying this because he leads Wind, but so far the only suitable leader is Triv. But for now it seems he is busy with real life objectives so he might turn it down. ( Not speaking for him by the way. ) As it stands do you think we have a member that can take over the leader role?

i would think the suitable leader should be triv, he can sprite as good as smouk.....but will he be able to take such respnsibility?

I don't think we're in a rush, regardless if Smouk was here or not progress was slow as it will be now, maybe slower now, but you can't really compare paces like that.
I think it'd be best if anyone from ROOT can simply post a thread about hiring new trainees and promote a team member that has shown persistence, not necessarily Triv.
