Attempt at Danzo XD - First sprite - [Updated 23 Feb]

Heres my go at a sprite! Tell me why it sucks - UPDATED! This time i fixed my palette and added 3 shades instead of 2.

New - Tried a sideways stance (slightly sideways)

have you tried to first zoom in then begin the work?

anyway, this sprite shows that you have potential. but there are rooms for improvement you can made.

firstly, you should fix the outline (his head, lower body and left arm are too straight, and you can make the outline smoother.)

secondly, you ought to add some wrinkles on his clothes by shading appropriately

thirdly, I see that there are only two layers of color. There should be more layers of color to make the sprite more stereoscopic)

on the other hand, his face is okay (at least not a mess) and the choice of color is good, also the proportion is accurate.

Thanks! I'm having a bit of trouble using Graphics Gale, but I'll try to fix all that up.

if you think those software are too complicated, try just using MS Paint..

Updated, tried a different approach this time.

I'm afraid that it's not getting better... the arm is bent oddly , proportion is worse than before, outline isn't smooth, he is not facing the corresponding direction (still facing us but not sideways) I can see there is better shading, but it's still not enough.

you ought to watch more body studies such as: THIS (there may be more better examples, search yourself) and learn about how to illustrate human body accurately from different directions/ in various motions, etc. (just my silly suggestion)
