Problems with my computer.

OK so for the past 2 days my computer is acting crazy and by crazy i mean retarded.
Every time i do something my computer randomly makes the screen go like

Hmm i will check that but i have to call a friend to do it because i can't.

Its a problem of a graphic card.I got something like that too,but it only happened when i played some better game.

My graphic card's 256 mb it supposed to run some games faster but it doesnt(mario lol).I think that because of ram.But ram is 1 gb.i dont get it..

Mine is 512 MB
I only play call of duty 4 and World of Warcraft
i didn't had problems with World of Warcraft before so thats not it same with Call of Duty 4.
