Ok how about this. If a host thinks someone is inactive, he has to PM them a warning that they will be kicked if their inactivity continues.

but that's bad. so when we get far in the game, we know who the mafia is, if they are inactive(without getting kicked), they are mafia for sure. or not?

Both Citizens or Mafia can decide not to post. Nothing wrong with that.

When it comes to PMs however, it's a different story: If the doctor, sheriff, vigilante, mafia aren't active, it has a certain impact on the game. That's why it is required of them to send those PMs.

Now, if a host decides that based on the number of PMs he received from a certain player, that he is not active enough, he simply kills (kicks) him. This can apply to both citizen roles or mafia roles.

About the rule on Mafia betraying other Mafia, I'm pretty sure that's legit. I don't think any Mafia would be stupid enough to say they betrayed another Mafia if that's what you mean though.

I think the Newbie sheriff and Mayor are unnecessary

Newbie sheriff because having 3 people with ability to uncover mafias is unfair

Mayor does not serve a meaning other than prolonging one's life, because the person saved from lynch will still be in misfavour of players unless he can justify himself,which hardly even happens

And a question about policeman: Theoretically, if the arrested person is a Mafia with 3 PM ability does he lose it for the time of his arrest?

1. Newbie sheriff is just to make the Sheriff's role more risky to trust.

2. You may be right, but a person given another chance can do much, and the players might trust the Mayor and leave him alone.

Only his own actions have no effect.

Mafia preety much loose every round because their overwhemed handeling all theses citizen roles.
e.g. Stalker, Sheriff, Mayor, Dovtor, Vigilante, Spy, Policemen, Trapper
2 being able to kill them, 3 that can reveal who they are, 2 that are annoying, and 1 that is nearly immortal.


Recommend Mafia Role:

Drug Dealer - The Drug dealer recieves 2 shipments of goods at the beginning of the game. He may decide how to distribute them to his fellow mafia members. The goods either give the mafia vigilante an extra bullet or the hacker an extra hack. The drug dealer can not distribute both to the same person. The participant who gets the drug must use it the night it's given to him or it will expire. Thus the Drug Dealer must distribute them during the day round. The drug dealer can give all 2 in one day or at different intervals of time throughout the game. Since the drug dealer is only a mafia supplier and doesn't get into the dirty work that comes with being mafia he doesn't vote in killings, but does recieve the mafia list in order to distribute. If the Drug Dealer dies before he distributes the drugs, they expire with him. But if the drug dealer happens to be the last mafia left he votes who to kill.

The thing is, it's useless to add new roles to Mafia, because there are not enough Mafia members per round to occupy all these roles.

I normally stick to the rule that about 1/4 of all players are Mafia, so if we take the current round as an example, there are 4 Mafia out of 14 people. There are 4 special roles for Mafia members, so those four Mafia occupy all available special roles. If we add another role, there would be noone to have it.

So, we have 3 choices:
-Raise the Mafia count.
-Nerf Citizen roles
-Power up Mafia roles.

I'll put up a poll tomorrow.
