NTSD and NTSD 2

whats the diferent between akatsuki ,lightning, 2.4(2.0) and 2.4(1.9) ??

As far as I remember correctly, Akatsuki is just a 'third-party' MOD for NTSD. There is some character addons like Hashirama and Madara. If you like some extras, try it our.

Lightning is not part of the Official release, but it does stand out from the rest.
The Lighting Edition fixes some bugs and has better balance, making it more suitable for online multiplayer.
Although, it doesn't have any bugs fixed, and uses the old .exe file. Meaning it's outdated compared to 2.4 (2.0)

NTSD 2.4 (2.0) and (1.9) are the same. Except (2.0) uses the LF2 2.0 .exe file while (1.9) uses the LF2 1.9 .exe file. I'd go with NTSD 2.4 (2.0) for the more pleasant experience, if possible.

I'm sure it has answered somewhere but...
I am running window 8 and I was able to run Naruto 2.4 but not able to do the stage mode, is there any way to fix that?

when i am playing ntsd 2.4 at some point of the game it will say ntsd has stopped working, what should i do

Does it close at a certain point of the game? (Specific characters, stage, objects on screen, mode)

it does not happen no more on vs mode but it happens a lot during stage mode, like when kakashi say come at me with all you got and about to do the raikiri it says ntsd has stopped working

It seems I have the strangest problem ever. As soon as the game starts to load, i have an error in sprites/sys.red.bmp, and it is written "could not load art" or smth like that. Apart from that, I do not have a sprites folder ...

Could someone please help me ?

Ok, thank you for the help with the missing sprites. However, now a new one appeared.
Whenever I try to start the app, an error occurs and it writes:
"The application failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. bla bla bla sxtrace.exe tool for more detail"
tried to reinstall the C++ as the microsoft suggests it. Did not help
Maybe someone here has an answer for this one ?

In my case whenever i start the mission mode Kakashi says some phrases and the moment he says "Try and beat me if you can" the game crashes on its own. Is there something that I can do to fix it?

@sailor: (a). Use the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) to determine which file is causing the issue, and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:
Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
Type the following command, and then press ENTER:
sfc /scannow
The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

(b). Perform a check disk:

Use the steps below:
Open Computer by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Computer.
Right-click the drive that you want to check, and then click Properties.
Click the Tools tab, and then, under Error-checking, click Check now. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
To automatically repair problems with files and folders that the scan detects, select Automatically fix file system errors. Otherwise, the disk check will report problems but not fix them.
To perform a thorough check, select Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors. This scan attempts to find and repair physical errors on the drive itself, and it can take much longer to complete.
To check for both file errors and physical errors, select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
Click Start.

Depending on the size of your drive, this might take several minutes. For best results, don't use your computer for any other tasks while it is checking for errors.

(c). In worst case scenario:
Reinstall your windows, has some left over data exists from a previous windows build. With the first 2 options above, it may be possible to overcome the reinstall.

Why does the game crash every time i hit kakashi before he does raikiri in story mode? If i wait till he does his raikiri and defeat him, in the next screen game crashes when i try to activate Sakura. I'm talking about 2.4_2.0a
P.S.: Playing on win 10. I love this game so much and want this to be fixed. Btw 2.4_1.9 does not work at all.

NTSD 2.4_2.0a story mode is not coded. In order to experience NTSD's story mode, you'll have to stick with the 1.9 engine of NTSD 2.4.

What type of error do you receive when playing the 1.9 version?

NTSD 2.4 (v2.0 for win10) always crash when I make Kazuku, Hidan, Sasuke, Naruto transofrm.
Why?

If my memory serves me correct, it has to do with the DLL files. Thing's are not compatible with Windows 10 unfortunately.

To avoid the problem, right click the exe, click on properties, and set compatibility mode to windows 98.

Next version won't have these issues, but until then do this.
