I'll disregard your sentence about me siding with the Kages and give my actual response.

Like I said before, there will be NO new measures taken by the admins for any new members who want to join a country that they like. You either meet the country's requirements that they have made plain and simple for everyone to understand on your own or you don't. Should you meet said requirements, a country will want to see what you are about first and won't let you in just because you made 50 posts for example. That's why they have a council in the first place.

Lastly, Cross hasn't been around for weeks so you won't be hearing from anytime soon.

I will agree with you about Fire being a bit easier to get into. Since Lightning is under new management, I am sure G man plans on sticking with the current requirement needed to join Lighting unless he decides to change it.

Axer was an example of someone who didn't have a strong first impression since you obviously look up towards him. It's true that people always had their "cool" but because of that they weren't well known, heck I didn't even know Miatsu until he joined Wind.

You think I was trying to explain the reason why you didn't get accepted to Wind? Let me just tell you that you are way off. I was just explaining your little Theory how some member who was underrated doing his newby days of the forum ends up becoming a Kage. Just to let you know, you were quite close into making it to Wind. If you just stuck around the forum for a week or two and applied then you would of probably made it. But not after this.

With your first post in this thread, I can't go and tell each Kage to change their requirements just to make it easier for new members to join a country. That would just cause more problems on both ends.

As for things changing, give me specifics as for what you want to see changed.

well the point is countries = fun
no access to countries for newbies= they will leave

if we had 5 working countries it would maybe work but 2 of them (water and earth) are currently dead
so maybe just start with revitalizing them

another idea i once had is like some kind of universal clan
maybe take that idea and change it to some countries for all white guys
(without kage or anything) like just their own section where they can feel special

well and like the general mindset of the councils has to change so that it becomes easier for newbies to enter a country
and it has to be clear that they can easily reapply in case they got rejected and still have a chance

Just to break down your post:

1. Earth and Water will have to do that on their own. I can help them if need be, but it is up to them to either stay the way they are or change. I won't make that choice for them.

2. A universal clan. Not a bad idea. However, there will still need to be some type of authority over said clan if it is made.

3. Anyone who gets rejected from a country always has a chance to reapply unless said country doesn't want you at all.

The administration side is likely to consider it as an attempt upon the old sound system.

Well, let me tell you the story of my Uno.
I used to be a little person on the forum, who sweared that he would be a kage one day. Well, I wasn't well known, but people at least noticed me. A few of them. My English was very poor those days, and I looked like a puny schooler who tried to jump higher than his head. I suppose so. Well, there were elections for Sound country. There were even people who actually gave votes for me, but Raka eventually became the first Otokage. Besides, he was one of those who voted for me.
Well, I was an outsider for quite a while when countries had been founded. I didn't suit to any of them by requirements, nor I been a popular person. I suppose I looked so silly with my lame English and naiive pacific nature. I even haven't tried to join any, as it looked as a complete failure. By the way, I wanted to be Lightning's kage or at least a member, just because I like lightnings and stuff.
But I persisted and struggled, and just acted natural. I suppose people saw me, and... well, look at me now. And now back at your man, and so on.

What do I want to say? If a person is really interested in the forum, he will be fine even with no country. He just doesn't need one.
I believe that a person never needs a country. A country actually needs one.
Well, talking about strict application process... just take it. It means that country doesn't think it needs you, and - God knows - it might lost a precious member.
So, be nice, and always slice and dice.
