A: some generic shonen series like Naruto or DBZ.

Aw, full metal is good...they killed the real plotline but still good so long as you don't know it is being killed...

Well, they are all good, you should try watching Reborn! sometimes, but remember one episode will get you addicted and become a freak like.... JON or Bob, whichever fits.

Because it's not a generic shonen fighting anime like DBZ, Naruto, One piece etc...

or a non-generic overrated series like FMA or Death Note.

I'm gonna agree completely with White...

-Elfen Lied (If you can appreciate it correctly it's perfect.)

-The Melancholy of Susumiya Haruchi (Just an interesting, fun story that has a lot to offer)

-I'm gonna add Ranma since its the story I enjoyed the most, although it's definately noth the best story. (kinda personal though)

Just read that it's supposed to be one, so ELFEN LIED


(Special mention to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni/kai.. could have been the best easily if they developed the story better. Also Evangelion, The Princess Mononoke and Now and then, Here and There)

I was gonna watch code geass, but it's a little too long. Maybe when I ran out of anime I am watching, since I started to watch anime not too long ago.. but by reading the plot of code geass, I can say that it is not the best, so it wouldn't change my decision..

If I didn't make it clear before, my final choice is Elfen Lied. Although SHnY was close.
